Cabbage scientifically called Brassica oleracea var. capitata belong to the group of leafy vegetable with cross-like shape of flowers hence called “Cruciferous” e.g kale, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels and spouts are other vegetables belonging to the same group. They are loaded with protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals which inhibits growth of certain cancers, aid in weight loss, stimulate the immune system, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and lots more benefits.
