How to Take Care of Your Skin During Summer

 Hot weather during summer increases water loss from the body leading to dehydration, excessive sweating, and more oil on the skin thereby speed up skin cell production. This can cause dryness and irritation to the skin which can be somehow uncomfortable, but with the proper skin care and beauty routine and with the right ingredients you can still have amazing and glowing skin despite the harsh weather.

Here are some healthy tips to keep handy in summer:

Keep Yourself Hydrated: Water is very essential all through the seasons of the year but becomes more demanded in summer. 6-8 glasses of water can be taken in this season to replenish loss fluid through sweating and urinating.

Taking enough water ease digestion, regulate body temperature, flush toxins from the body, improves complexion, helps fight skin diseases like eczema, acne thereby boost skin health and beauty.

Add Fruit and Vegetable to Your Diet: Fruits and veggies with high content of water are very beneficial this season. Examples of such fruits are watermelon, cucumber, oranges, strawberries, water lettuce, and spinach e. t .c. Consuming just one glass of watermelon juice can cure headache cause by summer heat.

 They also contain powerful antioxidants that can protect the skin against damages caused by smoking, free radicals, pollution, sunburn, chemicals.

Avocado, carrot, tomato are also very rich in vitamins that help nourishes the skin. They are rich in vitamins A, C and E which improves skin elasticity and appearance.

Scrub: scrubs helps remove dead skin cells, leaving dry, rough looking skin looking fresh with much confidence. When choosing scrub, go for organic based scrubs they are more tolerable to the skin and environmental friendly than chemical base scrubs, and go a scrub that is suitable for your skin type. 

Hard scrubbing motion may cause inflammation and redness to skin. Hence be gentle on the skin when using scrub.

Scrubbing should be done once or twice a week.

Cleansing: this help get rid of unwanted debris, dirt and oil that might have built up as a result of summer heat, sweat, chemicals and environmental pollution.

Cleansing can be done by using water especially after the exposure to sun and heat.

Coconut oil, avocado oil, olive oil, apple cider vinegar dilute with water, honey and lemon are natural that are easier to make at home and work very wonderfully on skin and face.

Moisturize Your Skin: Moisturizers are cosmetic preparations like oils, lotion, cream apply on skin to protect, lubricate and hydrate the skin.

Naturally, a healthy skin lubricate itself by producing sebum, but during cell regeneration the amount of sebum produced may be reduce leaving skin dry and flaky.

A good moisturizer should contain oil as well as water, so as to be able to lubricate and hydrate the skin.

Avoid moisturizers with too many and heavy chemicals, especially the one containing bleaching agent, they damage the skin.

Protect Your Lip: Lubricate your lips with lip balm that has sunscreen and that are organic base product.

Avoid salivated or licking your lips it evaporate quickly leaving your lips drier than it was before.

Pamp YOUR FEET: Summer usually comes with dryness under the feet leaving it crack and can be painful at times.

To keep feet soft, apply moisturizer after washing feet properly with warm water, and then wear cotton socks to help locks in moisture.
